The method involves supplying signal amplitudes of a display lying on an average underneath of the normal sensitivity threshold independently of a standard report of a separate evaluation. The evaluation is made successively by the maximum value formation of the single signals over a suitable pre-defined surface segment, sliding averaging of the maximum values over an adapted unit and threshold value definition and evaluation.
