<p>The system (1) has a communication unit serving as an internal interface (12) for bidirectional data exchange with a programmable controller (2) and an external data base (3). The communication unit is formed for communicating with the external data base and the programmable controller. The communication unit is formed for addressing the data base and the programmable controller by biunique identification. The communication unit is formed for addressing storage areas in the data base and the programmable controller according to a SQL format.
