PURPOSE: An input unit of a portable terminal is provided to increase user convenience by installing functional buttons having the same functions of the frequently used buttons. CONSTITUTION: The input unit of the portable terminal comprises the keypad(145). The keypad comprises the numeric button and special character button. The numeric button comprises the numeric button from 0 to 9. The special character button includes the button of a # and *. The keypad includes additional buttons(B1~B4). The additional buttons perform the function which is similar among the numeric button and special character button. The additional button is arranged in the first row of the left side of the special character button and numeric button. |
