摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device for an internal combustion engine using hydrogen capable of improving fuel economy while securing sufficient combustion stability. SOLUTION: Hydrogen storage quantity in a hydrogen tank is calculated (step 100). It is judged next whether calculated hydrogen storage quantity is larger than a predetermined value or not (step 102). When hydrogen storage quantity is larger than the predetermined value, change over from engine warming up to hydrogen addition lean burn operation is permitted (step 106) if cooling water temperature is 30°C or higher (step 104). When hydrogen storage quantity is the predetermined value or less, change over to hydrogen addition lean burn operation is permitted (step 106) if cooling water temperature is 60°C or higher (step 108). If cooling water temperature is lower than 30°C or 60°C, change over to hydrogen addition lean burn operation is prohibited (step 110) and engine warming up operation by gasoline stoichiometric combustion is continued (step 112).
