PURPOSE: A polymer PTC thermistor and a manufacturing method thereof using ultra thin metal materials are provided to maintain a low resistance in a 0.6~0.8micrometers thickness, and to protect the spare parts from an overcurrent. CONSTITUTION: A polymer PTC thermistor comprises: an external terminal(110) connected to the outside during a mounting process of a spare part; two electrodes(130) attached to the external terminal by soldering while contacted to the external terminal; a conductive polymer(120) located in between the electrodes, receiving an electric current from the electrodes through the external terminals; and a insulating layer(140) surrounding the conductive polymer and the electrodes. The conductive polymer is composed of a crystalline polymer and conductive filler. The insulating layer is used to prevent a short with a contiguous spare part.
