PURPOSE: A moisture monitoring device for a flowerpot is provided to monitor the moisture containing ratio within soil of the flowerpot. CONSTITUTION: A moisture monitoring device for a flowerpot comprises an electrode part(10) and a main part(20). The electrode part senses the electrostatic capacity changing within flowerpot according to the moisture content of the soil. The electrode part is plate form. A single electrode(12) is formed on the electrode part. The single electrode is coated with insulator. The single electrode uses the impedance which is changed according to the soil moisture content between electrode and ground. The content of the flowerpot inside moisture can be monitored using the impedance. The main part controls the electrode part or the electrostatic capacity in the electrode part and outputs the detected result.
