PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light guide capable of emitting uniform linear light along a longitudinal direction, and to provide a method capable of making such a light guide easily.

SOLUTION: An elongate light guide A1 includes: a light incident surface which is elongated in a rod shape as a whole and provided at an end in a longitudinal direction of the guide; a light-reflecting portion 21 extending in the longitudinal direction for reflecting light incident from the light incident surface; and a light-emitting portion 22 for emitting the light moving forward from the light-reflecting portion 21 as linear light extending in the longitudinal direction, wherein a grained portion 211 is formed at least part of the light-reflecting portion 21.
