<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gate driver preventing malfunctions, and to provide a display device that has the gate driver. <P>SOLUTION: This invention relates to the gate driver and the display device having the same, wherein the dummy stage outputs a reset signal and a dummy gate signal in response to a last carry signal received from a last drive stage. The reset signal outputted from the dummy stage is inputted to the reset terminal of each of a plurality of drive stages, and the dummy gate signal is provided to a control terminal of the last drive stage. Thus, the dummy gate signal supplied to the last drive stage is prevented from being distorted, and thereby, the last drive stage is turned off to normal state by the dummy gate signal, preventing line defects from occurring on a liquid crystal display panel. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
