<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of informing a user of a plurality of condition information items simply and correctly even if a display area is restricted. <P>SOLUTION: In the image forming apparatus which displays status condition information indicating a condition of the apparatus on a display unit 110, a CPU 120 determines presence/absence of a plurality of status condition information items to be displayed on the display unit 110. Furthermore, in a case where the presence of the plurality of status condition information items is determined, the CPU 120 displays a contracted message 401.
