<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To carry out gain setting of arbitrary resolutions even in the same circuit having a small circuit scale. Ž<P>SOLUTION: An LSB is "1" in a binary code "101", so that a charge CVin is sampled in a capacitor C11 and a charge in a capacitor C10 is initialized to zero (state A). Between the capacitors C10 and C11, the charge addition and division are simultaneously performed (state B). The next bit is "0", so that charge zero is sampled in the capacitor C11 (state D) and between the capacitors C10 and C11, charge addition and division are simultaneously performed thereafter (state B). An MSB is "1", so that the charge CVin is sampled in the capacitor C11 (state C) and between the capacitors C10 and C11, charge addition and division are simultaneously performed thereafter (state B).
