PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an abnormality examining system in a machine which can be inexpensively introduced, can extremely reduce a labor necessary for a maintenance and can early detect an initial minute abnormality. SOLUTION: The abnormality examining system in the machine which analyzes a signal measured by a sensor installed in the machine to detect an abnormality of the machine includes a tendency component separating part for separating the measured signal into two or more period tendency components, a characteristic information amount extracting part for extracting a plurality of characteristic information amounts for characterizing a pattern of the signal during the generation of the abnormality from the period tendency components respectively separated in the tendency component separating part and an abnormality deciding part for detecting the abnormality of the machine in accordance with the plurality of characteristic information amounts extracted in the characteristic information amount extracting part.
