PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat transfer pipe with inner helical grooves for an evaporator using a carbon dioxide refrigerant and having excellent evaporation heat transfer characteristics. SOLUTION: In the inner helically grooved heat transfer pipe for the evaporator using a refrigerant mainly composed of carbon dioxide, when the fin height (mm) is represented as h, the fin pitch (mm) as p, the bottom thickness (mm) as t, the pipe outer diameter (mm) as D, the fin vertical angle (°) asαand the helix angle (°) asθ, h is set to be 0.12-0.24, h/p is 0.75-1.2, t/D is 0.055-0.09,αis 15°or less andθis 12°or more.
