The invention concerns therapeutic compositions for the treatment of metastasis and, in particular, bone metastasis originating from a lung cancer. The compositions as per the invention comprise (i) at least one TGFß1 inhibitor and (ii) at least one MMP inhibitor. The invention also provides methods and kits based on the composition as per the invention for the treatment or prevention of metastases, particularly bone metastases, for the treatment or prevention of hypercalcaemia associated with bone metastasis and for the treatment or prevention of bone resorption associated with bone metastasis.
