Thee device has a mobile contact (3) cooperated with a fixed contact (4) and activated by a handle (7). A sudden closing device releases the mobile contact, such that accumulated energy provokes sudden closing of the contacts. The closing device has a ratchet (25) rotatably mounted around an axis of the handle. The ratchet is returned against a stop of the handle by a spring, and cooperates with a contact-carrier (2) to ensure closing of the mobile contact. The ratchet has an indicator (31) visible from the exterior via an opening (5) of an insulating box, only when the contacts are open. |
