PURPOSE: A device and a method for fax data archiving are provided to perform browsing, arranging, and searching of the text by keeping the fax communication history as an electronic document. CONSTITUTION: A signal separator part(102) classifies the information including transmitting and receiving facsimile telephone number and transmitted-data from a facsimile transmission and reception signal. A signal storage part(103) stores the classified information and transmitted-data in a storage part. A network connection part(104) offers a function of interface with other device through network in order for the management work. The management work peruses electrical data saved in the signal storage part.
