发明名称 Improvements in Apparatus for Missile Guidance Control
摘要
1,179,691. Pulse radar. SHORT BROS. & HARLAND Ltd. 1 June, 1960 [5 June, 1959], No. 19398/59. Heading H4D. In a missile command guidance system, the radar receiver includes separate missile and target tracking and gating circuits, which separate the missile and target pulses, and which direct both sets of pulses through a common processing circuit to provide a display of both target and missile. The common circuit is connected to the tracking circuits through a time-sharing switch. The conical scan aerial 43, Fig. 3, tracks automatically and the target and missile signals proceed along the separate channels 46, 51 and 47, 57, respectively. The time-sharing switch 52 routes the signals, separately, to the indicating tube 92. Each of the channels has a pulse stretch detector and automatic gain control. In the static split feed system, Fig. 4, the target and missile elevation signals pass through pulse stretch circuits 107 and 113 respectively to equalize the pulse lengths of the target and missile signals and the bearing signals pass through a similar set of pulse stretch circuits. The outputs of target elevation pulse stretch unit 107 and its corresponding target bearing pulse stretch unit 113 are applied as control signals to the aerial control to effect target tracking. Direct optical viewing of the target and missile is effected by a telescope mechanically coupled to the antenna and the optical and radar images may be superimposed by a semi-silvered mirror. The operator is provided with a joystick to control the missile to home it to the target over a radio command link.
