The invention (see fig.) relates to a pleating shading system -a pergola-like awning- composed of the telescopic driving shaft 2 initiated by the Power kit 1 and conveying the motion to the central guides 6, the counter members 8, the counterweight 9 and the PVC fabric 12 connected to the foregoing counter members and the counterweight 7 carrying away -in dependence on the clockwise and anticlockwise motion induced by the motor 1- the counter members 8 with the fabric 12 for the pleating and deployment of the whole shading system. Technical features: fast, easy and low-cost installation, coverage of areas of uncommon dimensions and shapes and protection thereof from almost all weather conditions. Maximum covered surface: 13 x 5,50 m of one-piece fabric with minimum inclination of the range of 12% due to the guide 6 (6x12cm long and 1,70mm thick). The maximum deployment of the tent reaches the 7m of one-piece fabric and implies the use of a stronger guide (8x16cm long and 1,80mm thick (6)) and a minimal inclination of the range of 12%.
