PURPOSE: A diaryl hepatonoid compound is provided to treat and/or prevent disease caused by virus activity and effectively suppress virus activity of avian influenza virus. CONSTITUTION: A pharmaceutical composition for treating and preventing disease caused by virus infection contains a compound of chemical formula 1 for suppressing virus activity, its isomer or pharmaceutically acceptable salt, their solvate, hydrate or prodrug. In chemical formula 1, R1, R2, R3, and R4 are independently hydrogen, hydroxyl, C1-C6 alkyl or C1-C6 alkoxy. Ra, Rb, Rc and Rd and Re are independently hydrogen, hydroxyl, C1-C6 alkyl, C1-C6 alkoxy or -O-Rf. Rx and Ry is hydrogen or hydroxy.
