<p>Coating compositions containing (A) a PVC plastisol, (B) an epoxy resin of epoxy equivalent >1, (C) dicyandiamide and (D) alpha-benzyldimethylamine. (B) is a liquid epoxy based on 4,4'-dihydroxy-diphenylpropane and epichlorhydrin. There are 0.2 to 0.6 parts of (D) and 6 to 12 parts of (C) per 100 parts of (B), and 20 to 100 parts of (B) + (C) + (D) per 100 parts of (A). The modification to the plastisol greatly increases the adhesion to metal substrates and still gives films having good colour, excellent flexibility, good impact resistance and good resistance to abrasion and chemical attack.</p> |
