A countershaft drive, in particular for wind power stations, which is connected between an actuating device (1) and a driven device (9), wherein it is equipped with a chain drive (4) which operates in accordance with the block-and-tackle principle and which receives the rotational movement of the actuating device via a connecting rod (2) and a sliding element (3) which is moved in a translatory manner by the latter and is connected to one end of the chain drive which is guided via at least one deflecting roller (5) to a positionally fixed anchor and is guided in flexurally rigid manner on its side facing away from the deflecting roller, and wherein the deflecting roller, for its part, is connected to a gate (7) which is guided in a translatory manner and is coupled to the driven device.
