PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To strengthen joining of mutual active materials by depositing lead hydroxide on the surface of red lead as a lead ion, and to prevent reduction in the service life by falling-off of the active materials by aging, drying and forming paste by filling the paste manufactured by adding a dilute sulfuric acid to a positive electrode active material by blending red lead and lead hydroxide of a specific weight rate in a lattice body. SOLUTION: Paste is manufactured by adding a dilute sulfuric acid to a positive electrode active material by blending lead hydroxide of 55 to 10 wt.%, more desirably, 50 to 15 wt.% to red lead of 45 to 90 wt.% more desirably, 50 to 85 wt.%. In the formation by charge up to 130% of a theoretical formation electricity quantity in an evaluation test, forming lead dioxide becomes about 80% or more in a paste type positive electrode plate using paste having a red lead blending rate not less than 45 wt.%. When a service life test of a charge/discharge cycle is performed at a temperature of 75 deg.C after peforming the formation by charge up to 130% of the theoretical formation electricity quantity, the red lead is blended more than 50 wt.% upto about 90%, and in paste whose remainder is lead hydroxide, the cycle service life not less then 3500 can be maintained. |
