PURPOSE: A local dimming method of a light source, a light-source apparatus performing for the method and a display apparatus having the same are provided to improve display quality by compensating dimming levels of a light-emitting block with the dimming level of the light-emitting block. CONSTITUTION: In a device, a dimming level of a light-emitting block is determined. A compensation dimming level of the light-emitting block is calculated by using dimming levels around light-emitting blocks locating at the center of the light-emitting block. The light-emitting block is driven based on a compensation dimming level. A display device includes a display panel(100), a timing control part(110), a panel driving part(130), and an optical source module(200). The timing control part receives a control signal(101) and an image signal(102) from the outside. The panel driving part drives the display panel.
