The method involves activating an activation element (AE) e.g. key, at a mobile terminal (ME) when a base station (BS) is in a receiving condition. Transmission of an activation-radio signal (afs) is initialized by the element in the terminal. Inactive transmit components (SK) are activated during receiving the radio signal in the base station. An active radio signal (aks) is temporarily formed and transmitted in a coverage area (RR) by the components. The activation-radio signal is transmitted in a signaling channel to make a communication connection between the terminal and the station. An independent claim is also included for a communication arrangement for wireless connection of a mobile terminal with a base station in a coverage area.
