PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress decrease in the contrast due to the viewing field with respect to a LCD in which an optical compensation sheet using a liquid crystal polymer is assembled, and to provide an optical compensation sheet excellent in complete holding of the aligned state of the liquid crystal polymer, in the stability of the film and in the film strength which are not obtained in an optical compensation sheet using a conventional liquid crystal polymer. SOLUTION: The optical compensation sheet has at least one layer of an alignment layer and at least one layer of a liquid crystal polymer having an aligned state on a transparent support. The liquid crystal polymer has chemically reactive groups which can cause reaction by adding heat or light energy. Relating to the optical compensation sheet, the aligned state of the liquid crystal polymer formed in the liquid crystal state is fixed by the reaction between the chemically reactive groups. |
