<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antenna device for a radar or the like having a performance equivalent to a large opening with a plurality of sub-arrays and a simple beam forming circuit configuration, which solves the problem of an increase in a hardware scale due to complication of a means for a system forming multi-beams, for removing a non-coverage region in a radar device using a plurality of the sub-arrays. <P>SOLUTION: Beams with the low level region of the multi-beams complemented are formed by using a rat race forming beams by synthesizing the receiving signals of the sub-arrays, and having a simple structure or a circuit 11 combining a plurality of the rat races. The receiving signals of two sub-arrays 10 are synthesized in the case of the two sub-arrays 10, the beam of the signal of the sum (Σ) of the signals and the beam of the signal of a difference (Δ) are formed, each direction of the peak ofΣand the null ofΔand the null ofΣand the peak ofΔare conformed, and the low level region is complemented by superposing the two beams ofΣandΔ. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
