The unit has an upper covering layer (1) comprising a free surface for forming a loading area (F) on which a load to be transported is arranged. A lower covering layer (10) forms a connection for connecting the floor unit at a lower side (US) of a vehicle and has a free lower side that is made from a steel plate material. Beams (Q2, Q3) are arranged in an area between the covering layers, and an abrasion plate (Q1) of the lower covering layer is fastened to the beams over spot weldings (Q8, Q9), where the beams connect the abrasion plate with a section (O) of the floor unit.
