<p>An Ethernet automatic protection method and system, the system includes a control domain made of multiple ring nodes supporting the identical service VLAN and using the identical control VLAN, and the control domain includes multiple physical rings with some of them being tangent with each other, the domain is decomposed as the hierarchical structure including a master ring and hierarchical link segments, a master node and several transmission nodes are configured for the master ring and each link segment, meanwhile a node that connects at least two levels is configured as a border node; the master node and the transmission nodes of the master ring cooperate with each other to detect the link state of the master ring and take charge of service switching when the master ring breaks down or recovers from the breakdown; the master node and the transmission nodes of each link segment cooperate with each other to detect the state of the link segment and take charge of service switching when the link segment at this level breaks down or recovers from the breakdown. The closed ring of the network caused by the breakdown, and the degradation of network performance or the network paralysis induced by the closed ring can be avoided by the present invention.</p> |
