<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an actuator which can obtain various modified aspects, a slide unit, a suspension and a hard disk drive. <P>SOLUTION: In an actuator 30, two pairs of arms composed of a 1st pair of arms 36A and 36C and a 2nd pair of arms 36B and 36D are extended from a linking section 38. Each arm of the 1st pair of arms 36A and 36C is extended so as to be separated from each other in the direction (Y direction) crossing the normal line direction (X direction) of a face 38a. Each arm of the 2nd pair of arms 36B and 36D is extended so as to be separated from each other in the direction (Y direction) crossing the normal line direction (X direction) of face 38b. Since piezo-electric elements 34A-34D are attached to each arm of the 1st and 2nd pairs of arms 36A-36D, the actuators 30 can obtain various modified aspects by selectively driving four piezo-electric elements 34A-34D. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
