TECHNIQUE FOR PENETRATING KERATOPLASTY

A technique for the penetrating keratoplasty comprises the use of the provisional obturator and the graft of the donor's cornea. As the obturator, the piece of the affected recipient's cornea is used which is cut and fastened with interrupted (4-8 knots) sutures and holding suture. The graft of the cornea is placed on the obturator and fastened by removing the fastening sutures of obturator. Finally, the obturator is removed by the holding suture
