The method involves providing a look-up table e.g. multiple line table, between dysfunctions of components e.g. power train, of a complex system, effects e.g. warning light states, within the complex system and detection elements e.g. actuator commands. An effect or data troubleshooting code corresponding to a problem, the component corresponding to the effect or code, and one detection element are determined in the table in case of occurrence of the problem, where the element is applied to the determined component to control the component if the component constitutes to cause of the problem. |
