The invention relates to a beating wing for using as a driving body of an aircraft or for transporting a fluid, said beating wing performing a back-and-forth movement about an oscillating axle (4), generating a thust force. The beating wing consists of a reinforced front edge (5) which protrudes from the oscillating axle and on which the drive force acts in order to maintain the oscillatory movement. A rigid, flexible, or partially flexible displacement surface (1) is coupled to said front edge. Said surface monitors the movement of the front edge (5), is deformed according to the flow direction and/or the flow speed of the surrounding fluid in order to generate a thrust force component in a controlled manner, and/or pivots about a pivoting axle (3) influencing the angle of attack of the displacement surface. The invention is characterised in that a restoring force counteracts the deformation or pivoting of the displacement surface (1) and the height of said restoring force is influenced by an adjusting element (13), the adjusting variable of the adjusting element (13) being pre-defined by an electronic control system. |
