An automatic teller machine and a method for the same are provided, which maximize the application of the prepaid card by enhancing the marketability of the card. An automatic teller machine comprises the card reader part(100), the manipulation part(110), the cash receiving and paying part(120), the communications unit, the display unit(130), the memory unit, the card issuance device(200), the paper output unit(140), and the controller. The card reader part is supplied with the information of a user. The manipulation part receives the input of a user. The display unit outputs the input information of the user inputted from the card reader part and manipulation part. The memory unit stores the input information of the user, the account information, and prepaid card information. The paper output unit outputs the transaction of the user. The controller controls input output signal. |
