<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer in which a degree of freedom in a print condition change can be sufficiently ensured while eliminating the need of complicated print control data input for meeting a print control condition specific for each printer, and without expanding too much print control data to be prepared at a host computer side. <P>SOLUTION: When a conversion permission condition is satisfied, a printer 2 converts received primary print control data 48 into secondary print control data 50 specific for the printer 2 in accordance with a filter processing program 44, within a ROM 22, for achieving a function of a print control data conversion means and performs print processing on the basis of the secondary print control data 50 obtained by the conversion and when the conversion permission condition is not satisfied, the printer performs print processing on the basis of the primary print control data. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
