PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an image signal with high image quality by obtaining an image signal proper to signal processing so as to apply signal processing to the image signal. SOLUTION: A signal processing part 234 senses information and applies signal processing to a signal output by a sensor part 231 for outputting a signal corresponding to the information, and a controller 240 controls the characteristic of the sensor part 231. An evaluating part 235 evaluates a result of the signal processing with respect to an output of the sensor part 231, of the characteristic controlled by the controller 240, and a position determining part 236 determines a characteristic of the sensor part 231, corresponding to the signal processing in accordance with the evaluation result in the evaluating part 235, and outputs information of the characteristic.
