PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simultaneously achieve an increased capacity and low ESR of a solid electrolytic capacitor used for various kinds of electronic devices. SOLUTION: The solid electrolytic capacitor comprises a capacitor element 4 formed by winding an anode foil 1 and a cathode foil 2 with a separator 3 interposed therebetween, and a solid electrolyte 5 of a conductive polymer which is impregnated between the cathode foil 1 and the anode foil 2 of the capacitor element 4, wherein the anode foil 1 includes a deposited layer 1b of a plurality of tree structures formed on a surface of an aluminum base material 1a, and the cathode foil 2 includes a nickel deposited layer 2b formed of nickel and nickel oxide on a surface of an aluminum base material 2a. Thereby, a reduced size resulting from a reduced thickness, and the increased capacity can be simultaneously achieved, and also the low ESR can be achieved. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
