PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin composition capable of forming a transparent film-formed optical member having a high refractive index, and the optical member using the same. SOLUTION: This resin composition containing (A) a metal-containing intermediate having a high refractive index, (B) a polymer or an oligomer and/or (C) a reactive monomer is characterized in that the component of the metal-containing intermediate having the high refractive index is a resin composition synthesized by using a titanium alkoxide, a polyhydric alcohol, water, an aminoalcohol and (D) a solvent.
