PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light emitting device which sufficiently reduces reflection of external light. SOLUTION: A light emitting device includes a plurality of types of light emitting elements including at least a red light emitting element 20R, a green light emitting element 20G, and a blue light emitting element 20B. Each of the light emitting elements 20 includes a first electrode 56, a second electrode 55 that is disposed on a side for emitting light and has semi-transmissive reflectivity or transparency, a function layer 40 that is formed between the first electrode 56 and the second electrode 55 and includes at least a light emitting layer, a reflective layer 58 that serves as the first electrode 56 or is formed separately from the first electrode 56 in a position for facing the function layer 40 through the first electrode 56, and a color filter 30 that is disposed in a position for facing the reflective layer 58 through the function layer 40. At least one type of the light emitting element of the plurality of types of the light emitting elements 20 further includes a semi-reflective layer 82 that is disposed between the reflective layer 58 and the function layer 40, and a transparent layer 81 that is disposed between the reflective layer 58 and the semi-reflective layer 82.
