PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly switch two types of positioning processes, and improve the accuracy of a positioning result. SOLUTION: In a cellular phone 1, a positioning mode after next time is switched to a first or second positioning mode in response to the accuracy of the positioning result from a KF positioning process implemented in the positioning mode at current time among the first and second positioning modes. If the positioning mode is switched to the second positioning mode, the KF positioning process is continuously implemented. If the positioning mode is switched to the first positioning mode, the KF positioning process is interrupted. After a LS positioning process is implemented once, the KF positioning process is implemented by considering the positioning result as a basic value. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
