PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laugh measuring device that accurately determines whether a subject laughed or not. SOLUTION: The laugh measuring device 1 is characterized in that it has a detection means 2 to detect the diaphragm vibrations in a subject and an analysis means 3 to determine whether the subject is laughing or not from the data detected by the detection means 2. Since the device determines on the basis of the detection data for the subject's diaphragm vibrations that directly represent his/her laughing behaviors, it can detect even his minute laugh that can't become any audible laughing voice.
