OPTICAL ELEMENT, METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THE SAME, LIQUID CRYSTAL DEVICE AND ELECTRONIC APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical element having a wire grid easily manufactured and superior optical characteristics, and to provide a liquid crystal device and an electronic apparatus which achieve high functions of the liquid crystal device and simple manufacturing processes.

SOLUTION: The optical element 1 reflects part of incident light and transmits part of the incident light. The optical element 1 includes a substrate 6 which has a plurality of first regions 6A and a plurality of second regions 6B that are partitioned in plan view and a first grid G1 which is formed of a plurality of micro-wires 2a in the first region 6A. Further a diffraction function portion 4 having a plurality of grooves 4A and a second grid G2 formed of a plurality of micro-wires 2a are formed by laminating in the second region 6B and the grooves 4A are formed in a region corresponding to between the micro-wires 2a.
