PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a UWB antenna which includes a battery disposed on a side of an element pattern. the UWB antenna having satisfactory antenna characteristics. SOLUTION: A transmitting and receiving apparatus includes: the UWB antenna 60 including a home-plate shaped element pattern 61 and a ground pattern 62; and a button cell battery 80 disposed on the side of the element pattern 61.
