PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a building which enables the effective ventilation of a void section while employing a simple device. SOLUTION: This building 1 comprises the void section 2 which vertically penetrates respective stories, and a ventilation section 3 which is formed in an almost horizontally penetrating manner so as to be capable of taking in air; and the void section 2 and the ventilation section 3 communicate with each other. An air guiding means 4 is arranged in a portion inside the ventilation section 3, which faces the void section 2, so as to guide the air, flowing into the ventilation section 3, to the void section 2.
