PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an overflow purification apparatus for an aquarium capable of suppressing a noise when water in the aquarium is circulated, and having superior aesthetic and high cost performances. SOLUTION: The purification apparatus for the aquarium includes an inner pipe (overflow pipe) 16 for sucking in water in the aquarium and leading the water to a filtration tank, a circulating pump for returning the water filtered in the filtration tank into the aquarium, and a water supply pipe 18 for supplying the returned water into the aquarium. A silencing lid body 19 is installed so as to cover a suction port of the inner pipe 16 and an air supply pipe 42 that communicate with the outside is installed on the inside of the lid body 19.
