The exemplary embodiments described herein relate to gaming apparatuses and, more particularly, to gaming apparatuses (e.g., gaming machines (100') and/or table games (800)) that are configured to display one or more virtual floating layers on one or more displays thereon. The floatable layer includes at least one ancillary event. A network interface is configured to communicate information between the gaming apparatuses and a central system (202) over a network (310') in substantially real¬ time. The floating layers may include, for example, interactive gaming, bonusing, entertainment, promotional, informational, banking, and/or service-oriented content. Gaming apparatuses may include a player tracking module navigation device. Such player tracking module navigation devices may be selectively enabled/disabled and/or altered in appearance based at least in part on user input and/or the status of game play. |
