The floor drain has a drainage body in the form of a hollow body or pot (17) that contains a wall (22) and a base. An inlet and a lateral outlet opening are provided. The hollow body has a cover (2) with a cover edge (27) and a center hole (28). The cover edge projects on the wall of hollow body and an attachment piece (18) is inserted in the center hole. The cover has a bearing surface (30) for connection with a base-moisture sealing.
