<p>The invention relates to a floating carrier (1) for underwater crude-oil production in the Arctic or Antarctic regions, that comprises under the hull thereof a removable drum (1a) from which extend lines (2) for anchoring to the sea bed and bottom-to-surface linking ducts (3), wherein said hull includes side platings in the longitudinal direction (XX) thereof, characterised in that said longitudinal side platings (1b) include a plurality of ice-shelf localised destruction devices (10) each including a destruction tool (11) that comprises at least one point-shaped portion (11a) capable of breaking the ice-shelf by repeated actuation in vertical translation and/or rotation of said tool relative to said plating, the point thus bearing locally in a downward movement on the ice-shelf surface with a force preferably at least equal to 10000 kN, said tool being actuated in translation and/or rotation by a translation (14) and/or rotation(13) guiding structure applied against the plating.</p> |
