An injector abnormality detecting apparatus and a method thereof are provided are provided to improve durability of injector and to increase performance of engine. An injector abnormality detecting apparatus(100) comprises a key pad(102) authorizing the injector abnormality sensing signal, an injector unit(108) including one or more nozzle, a display unit indicating the abnormality of the injector unit according to the control signal, an injector sensor(107) which one or more nozzle is operated, and senses the fuel pressure of the injector unit, and a controller(110) which lights one or more nozzle for the designated time or pulled according to the injector abnormality sensing signal.
