A lubricating structure for a camshaft journal portion of an automobile engine is provided to heighten productivity and to cut down the cost of production by forming a flow passage for supplying lubricating oil to a camshaft journal portion on the bottom of a cylinder head cover integrally. A lubricating structure for a camshaft journal portion of an automobile engine comprises an upper flow passage portion(4), a lower flow passage portion(8), and a lubricating oil supply tube, wherein the upper flow passage portion is formed integrally on the bottom of a cylinder head cover made of plastics to have a semicircular upper flow passage retreated upward as much as the length of a camshaft, and the lower flow passage portion is provided with a semicircular lower flow passage retreated downward correspondingly to the upper flow passage and adhered to the lower part of the upper flow passage to form one circular flow passage, and the lubricating oil supply tube is supplied with lubricating oil from a main flow passage of a cylinder block by forming many nipples(12) facing the upper part of a cam cap of a camshaft journal portion on the lower part of the lower flow passage portion, and forming an extension on one end of the upper flow passage portion and the lower flow passage portion to be arranged vertically to a cylinder head.
