A method for switching location information between vehicles mounting a telematics for recognizing the location of a user and the others is provided to share location information between the telematics installed vehicle and indicate the location of opponent and the user on a navigation screen. The location information of a first vehicle is detected through a GPS satellite. The detected location information is transmitted to the vehicles of the others applying the location information service through a telematics center(20). A second vehicle detects the location information of the second vehicles through the GPS satellite. The detected location information is transmitted through the wireless network and telematics center to a plurality of opponent vehicles. The location information is shared between a plurality of vehicles.
