A MOVING ROBOT AND A MOVING OBJECT DETECTING METHOD THEREOF

A method for detecting a moving object of a moving robot is provided to detect only the moving object correctly by removing a background motion photographed in an omnidirectional camera. A method for detecting a moving object of a moving robot comprises the following steps of: converting an omnidirectional image photographed in the moving robot into a panoramic image(600); estimating a moving area of the moving object by comparing a previous panorama image with the panoramic image(660); confirming movement of the moving object in the moving area in case a presumed moving area exceeds a reference area(670,680).
